The canoe prep trip on Saturday discovered a beaver living along the Rio Grande - quite a nice bit of wildlife spotting! Next prep trip will be on Sunday, Feb. 6th, starting at the Church at 9:30 AM. Sign up by email to Mr. Mortimer. The canoe trek location has been definitively set - the trip will run Utah's Colorado River from Moab to the confluence with the Colorado. A $50 initial payment is due now.
Several Boards of Review consumed most of the advancement time, resulting in the following rank advancements:
* Travis C and Roman G - Tenderfoot
* Mark P and Allan M - Second Class
Next week's meeting will be held at Apache Elementary School, 12800 Copper Blvd. Meeting time is standard - 7 to 9 PM. The reason for meeting there - this is where Mr. Prentice's wonderful displays of waterfowl and animal mounts are kept.
Scouting for Food will pass out collection bags on this coming Saturday, January 5th, starting at the Church at 10 AM. Then on the 12th, we'll collect food donations during that same time window. This is just another great way to earn service hours!
