• During Instruction period, a Scouting trivia contest was held. Staff narrowly defeated the Training Patrol.
• Henry R. and Neil S. earned Scout rank
  
• Gabe, Turner and Ethan were finalists in the Regional Science Fair!
• Scout Good Turn Day will be March 31st. Sign up for either morning (8 to Noon) or afternoon (1 to 5PM).
• A Rappelling outing will be held April 1st. You need to have attended a similar outing, or have checked your qualifications with Mr. Lewis.
• The new Scout camp at Lava Tubes by Grants will be held on April 14th and 15th
• Merit Badges taught:
• First Aid
• Personal Fitness
• Communications
• Camping
• Nuclear Science
• Basic Skills - first aid kit preparation
• Swimming tests were offered at the Sandia pool this week. Scouts who did not finish or who are starting in Basic Skills can attend next week's offering, Monday 6PM at the pool.
  

March 5, 2007

• Last meeting before Court of Honor. Dinner at 6PM, Court is at 7PM on March 12th.
• New Scout camp has been moved into April, and will be going to the Lava Tubes by Grants
• At patrol campout, planning for the Rapelling campout should be done. It is believed that the campout will be the weekend of March 24th.
• Good Turn Day at Sombra Del Monte Christian Church, the service project for the Spring quarter, is planned for March 31st.
  
• Five Scouts completed the CPR training class and received Breather Tubes:
• Austin B, Ethan C, Joshua G, Peter H, and Donald L.
• Matthew G earned Star rank, and Austin B earned First Class
